Since 1999, the Cadillac Escalade has been the ultimate luxury full-size SUV, spacious, stylish, and full of creature comforts and cutting-edge technology. But there’s always been one drawback: its powerful gasoline engine isn’t the most fuel-efficient. But now, for the first time, you can have your cake and eat it too with the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ. This all-electric SUV delivers the power, interior space, and luxury you’ve come to expect from the Escalade nameplate but with a zero-emissions powertrain that adds plenty of unique perks. This is the Escalade of the future, and you can drive it today.

Owning an EV has never been easier, and it’s getting more convenient all the time. The Escalade IQ, in particular, is a great choice for first-time EV owners; it has 460 miles of range, so you have some grace while first getting into the rhythm of charging it up regularly. Cadillac has also put plenty of thought into all of the small details of this large SUV, making it an easy model to fall in love with, even if you’re an EV skeptic. And since you can come to us here at Jim Ellis Cadillac to see it in person and take it for a spin, you really don’t have anything to lose by giving it a shot.

  • Power

    Electrified Performance

The Escalade IQ is propelled by a pair of powerful electric motors, one for each axle. This arrangement gives the SUV standard all-wheel drive, giving you plenty of traction, even if the roads or the weather aren’t perfect. Together, these motors can produce 750 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque. To put that into perspective, the 2025 Escalade offers 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque with the base 6.2L V8 engine, and the more powerful Escalade-V produces 682 hp and 653 lb-ft of torque with its supercharged V8.

With plenty of power at its disposal, the Escalade IQ is capable of getting from zero to 60 mph in under five seconds. That quick acceleration comes in handy on the highway and makes for lively driving dynamics that are more engaging than you might assume any vehicle of this size would be able to offer, electric or not. You can also put that power to use by bringing a trailer along for the ride since the Escalade IQ has a towing capacity of 8,000 lbs. That matches the top towing capacity for the 2025 Escalade ESV and is more than enough for most drivers, even those with large boats or luxurious camping trailers. No matter how fast you’re driving, where you’re going, or what you’re towing, you can expect a comfortable ride thanks to the Escalade IQ’s air ride adaptive suspension, which adjusts automatically to changing conditions to keep things smooth.

    Range & Recharging

An over 200 kWh Ultium battery powers the motors and can be charged in a variety of ways for your convenience. While the speed of charging is limited by the type of charger you’re using, it won’t be held back by the Escalade IQ’s powertrain, which is capable of 800-volt DC Fast Charging. This high-voltage charging allows you to add up to 100 miles of range in just 10 minutes of charging time, opening up the door to the possibility of long road trips around and beyond Georgia. Even if public charging stations are few and far between where you are headed, the 2025 Escalade IQ’s estimated 460 miles of total range makes it easy to go out and about without stressing about running out of charge far from power.

You don’t have to use all of the battery’s power to drive extra miles. You can also use it to power electric devices when out and about, making it easy to light up your campsite or enliven a tailgate party. With a compatible charging station, you can even use the Escalade IQ to power your entire home during a blackout.

  • Comfort

    Cabin Design

Step inside the Escalade IQ, and you’ll find a high-tech interior that’s both comfortable and convenient. A 55-inch screen spans the entire front row, giving you plenty of space to display not only the basics like your speed and your safety warnings but also camera views (including available night vision), navigation directions, and settings for everything from drive modes to infotainment. Since the screen reaches the front passenger, it’s easy for them to help you out with navigating, changing the music, and more, so you can keep your eyes and focus on the road ahead. Heated, ventilated, massaging seats are available to give you and your front-row passenger a true sense of luxury as you drive.

Even backseat passengers can get screens of their own with the available Executive Second Row. This feature provides two 12.6-inch screens on the front row seatbacks, plus stowable tray tables, extra USB-C ports for charging mobile devices, headrest speakers, massaging seats, and additional legroom to accommodate passengers of all shapes and sizes. Whether you’re on a long road trip with friends or carpooling to the office, this premium second-row experience can come in handy and make those in the second row feel every bit as comfortable and connected as those sitting up front. Even on the lowest trims, second-row captain’s chairs come standard, providing plenty of space and support. The third-row bench isn’t quite as luxurious, but it still provides plenty of space for passengers to stretch out and get comfortable, and its power-folding capability makes it easy to convert to cargo space if you don’t have a full house.

    Atmosphere

Other features are designed to improve the experience of everyone inside, from the driver to the passengers in the back. The panoramic moonroof, for instance, lets in more natural light and provides more outdoor views but has a UV film applied to avoid the downsides of extra sunlight. Available five-zone climate control lets every section of the SUV have its own micro-climate, so everyone can get their personal temperature just right. The 126-color ambient lighting system also has multiple zones, letting you get creative and change up the look of the cabin whenever the urge strikes you. To round out the senses, you can also opt for the available AKG Studio Reference 36-speaker audio system, which provides a true surround-sound experience for everyone onboard.

  • Safety

    Protective Tech

We know that safety is a top priority for you when you’re behind the wheel, and we’re happy to let you know that the 2025 Escalade IQ offers all of the safety and driver assistance tech you need to drive with confidence. Maneuvering in tight spaces at low speeds can be tricky in any full-size SUV, but there are features that can make it easier. The Escalade IQ comes standard with four-wheel steering, which lets you make tighter turns and enhances stability while cornering. It also has standard HD Surround Vision, so you can get a 360-degree view of the area around your SUV, which is especially handy in crowded parking lots. Speaking of parking, Enhanced Automatic Parking Assist also comes standard, so you can slide into your spot with ease, even if you’re not used to driving a large vehicle.

When you’re driving, there are a lot of things you need to keep your eyes on, from the road ahead to the vehicles surrounding you. The Escalade IQ helps you see and keep track of everything around you so you can make informed decisions behind the wheel. The Rear Camera Mirror lets you switch between a traditional mirror and a live camera feed that can’t be obstructed by tall backseat passengers or bulky cargo. A built-in washer keeps it crystal clear, even if your journey takes you down dusty roads. Traffic Sign Recognition keeps track of speed limit and other road signs and displays them on your dash so you can’t miss them. The IntelliBeam Adaptive Forward Lighting system adjusts the brightness of your forward lights to match the light levels around you, and the headlights turn slightly with your steering wheel, helping you see around corners in the dark.

    Driver Assistance

There are plenty of features that warn you about imminent danger, like Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Pedestrian Alert, and Side Bicyclist Alert. Warnings from these features can play audio alerts and show you visuals on the main screen, but there are also other ways to keep track of them. The Safety Alert Seat vibrates on the left, right, or both sides to let you know when a threat is coming, even when you’re in a loud environment, and to let you know immediately which side the danger is coming from. You can also get warnings projected directly onto your lower windshield with the standard head-up display, so you don’t have to take your eyes off the road to get the information you need.

In addition to warnings, there are also plenty of features that can take automatic action to keep you safe. The 2025 Escalade IQ comes standard with Enhanced Automatic Emergency Braking, Intersection Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian and Bicyclist Braking, Rear Cross Traffic Braking, Reverse Automatic Braking, Blind Zone Steering Assist, and Enhanced Lane Keep Assist. These features work together to protect you, your passengers, and everyone around you, whether you’re cruising down the highway or driving through town. You can also tackle long road trips more easily with Adaptive Cruise Control, which speeds up and slows down automatically to match the speed of traffic, topping out at your desired speed. Super Cruise takes this even further, allowing you to drive with your hands off the wheel on compatible roads.
